The Qirat and Naat Society of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore, arranged annual Qirat and Naat competition in the university auditorium on Thursday. Students of the UVAS and the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CVAS), Jhang, participated in the competitions.
Hafiz Rizwan Wali of the UVAS stood first in the Qirat contest while Hafiz Rizwan Akram and Tariq Khan finished second and third, respectively.
In the Naat competition, Zarmina Ijaz of the UVAS stood first, Imran Raider got second position while Naveed Iqbal of the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Jhang got third position. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Nawaz and Professor Dr Alt Akbar Qadri distributed prizes among the winning students.
