Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has constituted only two benches of the Supreme Court for the next week starting from August 27 (Monday) for hearing of cases at principal seat Islamabad and Lahore Registry.
According to the cause list issued by the fixture department of the Supreme Court for next week, one of the bench comprising Justice Javed Iqbal, Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan and Justice M. Javed Buttar (Bench-I) will hear cases at Islamabad.
However, a bench comprising Justice Falak Sher, Justice Tassaddaque Hussain Jillani and Justice Chaudhry Ijaz Ahmed will hear cases at Supreme Court Registry, Lahore.
The fixture department has already mentioned on the top of cause list that "No application for adjournment through fax will be placed before the court. If the counsel is unable to appear for any reason the Advocate-on-Record will be required to argue the case.
