Provincial steering committee on Tuesday approved the release of development funds to the tune of Rs 1,586.35 million for 2,691 approved development schemes under Taameer-e-Punjab programme. The committee met here under the chairmanship of Provincial Minister for Local Government, Law and Public Prosecution Muhammad Basharat Raja, disclosed an official.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Local Government Akhlaq Ahmad Tarar and representatives of finance and planning and development departments. The meeting reviewed the pace of implementation of Taameer-e-Punjab programme for the year 2005-06.
