At least 1,455 students from tribal and settled districts of NWFP appeared in the test held on Wednesday at the University Public School (UPS) in Peshawar for free quality education at schools of excellence to be given under a scheme recently announced by both the NWFP governor and the chief minister.
These students appeared in the test conducted by Education Testing & Evaluation Agency (ETEA) included 55 girls students. Result of the test would be declared on August 30 (today). The result can be seen at the internet on www.etea.edu.pk.
Under this scheme, a total of 180 talented students from tribal areas and settled districts of NWFP would be selected and admitted to schools of excellence.
