Sindh Chief Minister, Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim has said on Thursday that effective policies undertaken by present government have changed people's socio-economic condition. It also had launched a lot of development projects across the country with an especial attention to the remote areas.
Rahim was addressing a public gathering arranged by the Sindh Minister Dr Sohrab Sarki in Thul town. The Chief Minister said that Pakistan Muslim League government was carrying out development works in every constituency. Therefore, it was stronger than other political parties.
He announced that Pakistan Muslim League enjoys sufficient vote strength to re-elect President Musharraf for a greater national interest therefore, the party would contest general elections from its own platform and would make a clean sweep.
Further, talking about the election strategies, Rahim said to safeguard the interests and rights of the people of Sindh at any cost. He believed that people reposed confidence in the government due to its performance and indiscriminate beneficial policies and developmental agenda, added that formation of new districts was aimed to decentralise administration down to the mass reach is in the benefit of the people.
Rahim also said that Dr Sohrab Sarki had won elections three times from Thul constituency while the people rejected Mir Hassan Khoso thrice. Now, Mir Hassan Khoso has left Pakistan Muslim League and joined the PPPP. As the leaders of Khoso tribe, included Sobhdar Khan Khoso had also extended support to Sarki, he would definitely win the election.
The CM assured to provide RS 5 million to beautify Thul that also comprises the widening snd reconstructing of the roads besides providing electricity to 20 villages in taluka Thul, as proposed by Sarki.
Furthermore, he directed the XEN Provincial Roads and Assistant Engineer Highways to ensure maintenance and repairing of different roads in Thul, Kandhkot and Jacobabad talukas especially Thul-Kandhkot by-pass road. Rahim ordered to reinstate Primary School Teachers who were removed from the Government Services in the year-1995.
Meanwhile, Sobdar Khan Khoso along with clan members announced to join PML and reposed their confidence in Sarki. Dr Sohrab Sarki in his speech welcomed the Chief Minister Sindh and informed him the different issues related to the area. Sindh Minister, Mir Manzoor Khan Panhwar highly regarded the government's policy of providing funds for the development schemes without any discrimination.
Zila Nazim Kashmore Kandhkot, Sardar Saleem Jan Khan Mazari also assured support for PML candidates. He appreciated the Sindh CM for his efforts to create new districts in the province and allocating funds for different development schemes.
Later, the Chief Minister laid a foundation stone of Poly-Technique Institute at village Garhi Hassan near Thul with the cost of Rs 60 million, the scheme will be completed by the year-2010.
Zila Nazim Jacobabad, Mst Saeeda Soomro, MNA Mir Ghalib Hussain Domki, Sardar Zulfiquar Khoso, taluka Nazim Kashmore Haji Abdul Rauf Khoso, note social personalities, elected representatives, high officials of different departments were also present at the occasion.
