Dr M. Akram Sheikh, Minister of State and Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission visited Siemens Industrial Complex. On arrival, he was welcomed by top management of the company led by the Managing Director Sohail Wajahat H.Siddiqui.
Dr Akram Sheikh was briefed about the capabilities and working of Siemens Pakistan and how it has synchronised its activities to help achieve the national vision 2030 of Pakistan. The contribution of Siemens Pakistan towards exporting of engineering goods from the country and saving foreign exchange through export substitution was also highlighted.
Later, Dr Akram Sheikh visited the Industrial complex and praised the high standards being maintained for production of world class products in this state of the art complex.
In his remarks Dr Sheikh praised Siemens Pakistan for following the national vision 2030 and said others should follow this example. He said we can only sustain our economic progress through a planned approach and increase in productivity. He said he was impressed by the policies followed by the management of Siemens that has resulted in sustained growth and appreciable levels of productivity that can serve as a role model.-PR
