The PML-N Lawyers Forum criticised the statement of President Musharraf on Nawaz Sharif. He said that Nawaz can not return to Pakistan amounted to contempt of court and the PML-N lawyers would file a contempt petition against Musharraf before the Supreme Court.
Punjab PML-N Lawyers Forum President Moulvi Sultan Alam Ansari, Rana Mehboob Alam, Zafar Qadri said on Thursday that it had been proven that Musharraf did not have respect for judiciary and he was ready to do everything to stay in power.
Former ATC judge Moulvi Sultan Alam said that it was not expected from a head of the state to flout the order of the apex court. He said that President Musharraf considered the apex court as rival since the Supreme Court declared presidential reference against the chief justice illegal.
President Musharraf and his allies were pursuing an anti-judiciary agenda by issuing contemptuous remarks against the judiciary, they said, adding that within a few days a contempt petition would be filed before the Supreme Court against Musharraf from the platform of the PML-N Lawyers Forum.
