The Board of Directors of Citrus Research and Development Company (CRDC) has unanimously elected Mehr Liaqat Hayat Lak as the Chairman of the Board. His election was held in the first meeting of the board held here on Wednesday with Secretary Agriculture Punjab, Fayyaz Bashir in the chair.
Others who attended the meeting included Mehr Liaqat Hayat Lak, Faisal Munir, Pervaiz Ahmad, Faisal Javaid Ghumman, Daud Ahmad Khan and Shamoon Sadiq CEO Pakistan Horticulture Development and Export Board (PHDEB).
According to spokesman of the company, the board also constituted a committee comprising Mehr Liaqat Hayat Lak and Secretary Agriculture Punjab Fayyaz Bashir for an ensuring smooth commencement of business of the company.
Fayyaz Bashir briefed the members of the board about the objectives of the company and welcomed the members to the board of directors. The board appreciated the policy of the Punjab government and congratulated the Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi for showing confidence in private sector to make decisions for citrus research.
The stakeholders unanimously pledged to contribute towards the achievement of the vision of the chief minister and stated that they shall whole-heartedly work for the betterment of citrus research and development in the province.
