The anti-corruption establishment in Punjab has arrested two deputy directors of department of livestock and dairy development, Sargodha after being found guilty of embezzling salaries and TA/DA of employees worth Rs 676,400 on Thursday.
According to an official here on Thursday, anti-corruption establishment got secret information that two deputy directors and an accountant posted at Livestock and Dairy Development Sargodha had misappropriated salaries and TA/DA of the employees amounting to thousands of rupees.
Additional director anti-corruption Sargodha constituted an inquiry team comprising of dedicated officers of ACE Sargodha. The inquiry team, after thorough investigation, submitted a report that Dr Zahid Aziz, Deputy Director, Dr Maqsood Ahmad Rekhi Deputy Director, and Muhammad Aslam Goraya were involved in misappropriation of Rs 676,400. The accused received the said amount of salaries and TA/DA from district accounts office Sargodha and misappropriated the same.
The accused deputy directors managed to get bail from court of law but the court on Thursday reject the bail plea of both the deputy directors following which, Deputy Director Legal ACE Sargodha Muhammad Ashraf Tahir arrested Dr Zahid Aziz and Dr Maqsood Ahmad Rekhi, the Deputy Directors of Livestock Department.
