EFU the largest Insurance group of the country, marked the celebration of 75th years of its existence by holding a Gala Dinner held at a local hotel. A large number of foreign guests, businessmen and personalities of insurance industry attended the function.
The country's renowned artist Zia Mohyeddin accompanied by Satirist Nafees Ahmed Khan gave an enthralling performance. Zia Mohyeddin recited prose extracts of Josh Malehabdi, Ibrahim Jalees, Ibn-e-Insa, Mujtaba Husain and Syed Sibte Hasan and paid rich tribute to Roshen Ali Bhimjee as a friend and a humanist.
The Chairman, Rafique Bhimjee and Managing Director Saifuddin N Zoomkawala highlighted the historical milestones of EFU and in particular the role of late Chairman Roshen Ali Bhimjee in making EFU the largest insurance group in the country.
They thanked EFU customer's re-insurers, shareholders and EFU staff members for their support and commitment through the years. Saifuddin N Zoomkawala said the next 75 Years in the insurance industry will present countless challenges to the insurance sector but he was confident that the professionals of EFU would stand as successful as they are today.-PR
