Traffic mess a growing problem in twin cities

The traffic problems are growing in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad due to violation of traffic rules. The public transport wagons stop at unauthorised stops on the busy roads without giving any indicator which has led to many accidents.
Often traffic jams are seen on major roads during peak hours as the motorists do not follow the traffic rules. Not only they drive their cars off the lanes but also ignore red light signals. Picking up and dropping of passengers on the Islamabad Highway by the public transport is going on unchecked, resulting in some fatal accidents.
In Rawalpindi even motorcyclists and rickshaw drivers do not feel the need to turn on indicators before negotiating a left or right turn. The illegal car parking on the busy Murree Road is another major traffic hazard. The Suzuki vans plying between Banni Chowk and Peshawar Morr create traffic jams at Pindora Chongi as their drivers park them right in the middle of road to pick passengers.
