Singapore share prices closed down 0.29 percent on Friday amid continued caution about the outlook for the US economy given record-high oil prices and a weaker dollar, dealers said. Remarks by Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke that US home mortgage defaults are likely to get worse also weighed on market sentiment, they said.
The Straits Times Index fell 10.24 points to 3,542.22.
