The wedding procession of Johan and Ineke de Kok, on the road between Hoofddorp and Badhoevedorp, The Netherlands. In the same year as man flew to the moon in a high tech rocket, this newly wed couple traveled by horse-drawn carriage.

Ruud Hoff is a Dutch historian and political scientist. He is known as an expert in the field of contemporary history of the Middle East.
He studied history and political science at the University of Amsterdam . In the latter discipline he specialized in international relations. During his studies he became interested in the Middle East, an interest he always keep and what he is going to give partially lesson. He has published about this, for example the 1991 dating general overview of work in the Middle East, and gives regular commentary into news programs on radio and television.
