The Punjab Minister for Zakat and Usher Mian Khadim Hussain Wattoo has said that the government had taken timely and effective measures to maintain the prices of daily use items and ensure their timely availability. He said this while talking to a delegation of consumers here on Monday.
He said the present government believes in rendering valuable services for the masses instead of raising mere hollow claims. Under the Ramazan package, the government had given subsidy on 700 items available at Utility Stores.
He further said that the government had taken stringent measures to check the illegal activities of hoarders and black marketers. The government would ensure stability of prices of commodities of daily use at reasonable rates and take strict action against the hoarders.
