Punjab Minister for Housing and Urban Development, Syed Raza Ali Gillani has directed all heads of development authorities of the province to advertise the names of the registered housing schemes so as to secure peoples investment as well as to save them from being deceived by fake schemes.
Gilani was chairing a meeting of all director generals of the development authorities and other concerned officers. He asked the DGs to send the list of registered housing schemes to the offices of Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) so that cable operators could show advertisements of genuine housing schemes as well as restrict fake schemes from being shown on the TV.
Gillani further directed to install boards with the names of registered housing societies. He also directed to prepare websites wherein details of genuine and fake housing societies could be informed to the mass. He referred to the government's stance saying that it has always been undertaking in-time measures to save the people from housing fraud.
