'EU committed to work for Kashmir resolution'

In occupied Kashmir, the visiting European Union (EU) delegation has said that they were committed to work for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue and hoped that peace process between India and Pakistan will reach its logical conclusion soon.
This was stated by Luis Filipe Castro Mendes, ambassador of Portugal to India and head of five members EU delegation, KMS reported. "We hope that peace process between India and Pakistan will reach its logical conclusion soon," said Luis Filipe. "The International community wants the issue to be resolved peacefully. We are committed for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue," he said.
India and Pakistan had hopefully made progress on the Kashmir issue, he added. The EU members are on the annual visit to occupied Kashmir, and consist of three heads of missions of Delhi-based EU embassies.
Besides Luis Filipe, the team includes charge-d-affaires of Slovenia representing the EU presidency Miklavz Borstnik, charge-d-affaires of the European Commission delegation Alexander Spachis, first secretary of Portuguese embassy Jose Manuel Castro Santiago, and political counsellor of French embassy Bruce Bourdon.
