On Tuesday, the BR Index30 opened in the green zone, at 14,393.86, but closed at 14,268.34 with a net negative change of -47.31 points, or -0.33 percent. It experienced intra-day high of 14,398.20 and low of 14,250.11, with the volume of 130,379,400 shares, which was 75.02 percent of market total and 92.15 percent of KSE-100 index.
The volumes of KSE All Share and KSE-100 were 173,794,300 and 141,488,300 shares, respectively. BR Cement Index was the most active sector. It closed at 1,828.43 with a net negative change of -5.02 points and percentage change of -0.27. The turnover for this sector was 36,018,700 shares.
BR Commercial Banks Index was the second most active sector. It closed at 5,556.59 with a negative change of -2.02 points and percentage change of -0.04. The turnover for this sector was 30,434,600 shares. BR Tech. & Comm. Index was the third most active sector. It closed at 1,827.16 with a net downward change of -22.16 points and percentage change of -1.20. The volume of this sector was 13,637,300 shares.
BR Oil and Gas Index closed with a turnover of 11,334,800 shares. It closed at 2,185.95 with a net negative change of -13.53 points and percentage change of -0.62.
