The marathon meeting of the Supreme Council of Mutahidda Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) here on Tuesday night endorsed decisions of the APDM about resignations from the National Assembly (NA) but delayed the decision of dissolving the NWFP Assembly for the time being.
Talking to reporters here after attending MMA's supreme council meeting spread over six hours, leader of opposition in the National Assembly and Central Secretary General of MMA Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that MMA legislators would resign from the National Assembly on September 27. "However, we have sought some time for quitting the provincial assembly," he added when asked.
