Manpower and training directorate: minister lays foundation stone of annexe building
Sindh Minister for Labour and Industries Mohammed Adil Siddiqi on Thursday laid the foundation stone of annexe building of Central Office of Directorate of Manpower and Training. The three-storey building will cost Rs 22.05 million and completed in record one year.
The minister directed the concerned officials to ensure timely completion of the building and pay special attention on its design and beauty reflecting the culture of Sindh.
It may be mentioned here that present building of the Directorate was constructed in 1985 in keeping with the then requirements. On the Minister's directive, now phase-II of Vocational Training project is being initiated.
The new building will house the offices for Apprenticeship Training scheme, Women Employment and Training Cell, Management and Implementation Cell and Trade Testing Board.
Those present on the occasion included Labour Secretary Rasool Bux Phulphoto, Manpower and Training Director Karim Bux Siddiqi and officials of concerned departments.
