Meanwhile, position holders during a press conference said that they had to face immense difficulties in preparation of examination due to prolonged power outages and traffic jam in the metropolis.
"We had to use candles, lamps and other alternatives for preparation of our papers and got the position only after a long hard work and had to leave home for examination centre very earlier", they said.
"The structure of exam should be changed now and government should make amendments in this system as it had failed to meet the requirement of changing world scenario", positions holder said.
They strongly criticised the idea of introducing combined exams, saying it would not only put burden on the students but it will not bring any improvement in the education system.
They opposed the Sindh governor's decision of awarding two percent grace marks to students owing to load-shedding in the city and termed it a destructive step of the government to damage the merit-based system.
They asked intermediate board officials to bring major changes in the current syllabus keeping the advancement of the science and technology in view so that syllabus could be made as per international standards.
