The President of Pakistan here on Thursday promulgated an order to further amend the High Court Judges leave, pension and privileges Order, 1997. A press release issued here says: WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the high court judges (Leave, Pension and Privileges) Order. 1997. (PO No 3 of 1997), for the purposes hereinafter appearing:
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercises of the powers conferred by the Fifth Schedule to the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the President is pleased to make the following Order:
1. Short title and commencement. (1). This Order may be called the High Court Judges (Leave. Pension and Privileges) (Amendment) Order, 20.
2. It shall come into force at once and shall be deemed to have taken effect on and from the first day of July 2007.
Amendment of Paragraph 25, PO No 3 of 1997:- In the High Court judges (Leave, Pension and Privileges) Order. 1997 (PO No 3 of 1997). hereinafter referred to as the said order. In Paragraph 25 for the words five thousand" the words "ten thousand" shall be substituted.
