electric-metre2-1024PESHAWAR: The Bajaur Marble factories owners Saturday announced cooperation with TESCO in installation of electricity meters at their respective factories, ending weeks long disconnection of electricity to the area.

Talking to media men the office-bearers of the All Bajaur Marble Factory Association comprising Tufail Khan, Kifayat Khan, Haji Maroof Khan, Haji Shoukat Yousaf, Fazal Rehman and Nawab Khan informed the media men that they have decided not to make any hurdle or hesitation over the installation of electricity meters in marble factories.

"We would extend all out cooperation with TESCO officials during installation process," they added.

The owners of the marble factories said that they are not against installation of electricity meters rather they lodged their protest over TESCO's unwanted billion.

They disclosed that since 2008 to 2016 the TESCO officials sent billing that were not based on factual reading.

They said that due to insurgency and militancy most of the facilities were closed and many of the marble factories were completely damaged during the operation against the militants.

They also demanded from the TESCO to restore the electricity to the area besides waving off all the arrears so that the factories close from the last so many months would start its production.

They said that due to closure of the all 22 marble factories many workers facing hardship due to unemployment.

The appealed to the Governor KP, Chairman Wapda, Chief Executive TESCO and other concerned officials to announce restoration of electricity to the area by protecting them from further destruction and damages, both financial and morally.
