The Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority (Smeda) inked memorandum of understanding (MoU) with National Textile University, Faisalabad to conduct series of training workshops relating to textile industry.
The representatives of both the organisations signed this MoU under which Smeda will assist NTU faculty for research work in projects of final year students. Smeda and NTU will also jointly organise internship programmes for students. The main objective of the agreement is to share the major issues being faced by garment industry in post quota era, update their knowledge regarding latest trends and strengthen the industry academia linkages.
University Vice Chancellor Masood M Biabani said the joint programme conducted by Smeda and NTU currently proved to be a great success both for faculty and the industry. He emphasised to expand industry academia linkages.
