Pakistan Peoples' Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) NWFP chapter has rejected the dissolution of NWFP Assembly arguing that since PPPP has nominated Makhdoom Amin Fahim for presidential slot therefore PPPP members would not quit the NWFP Assembly.
"We are not in favour of dissolution of NWFP Assembly however if Pakistan Muslim League (Q) moved no confidence motion against Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani PPPP would not go with the Q-league," provincial president PPPP Rahimdad Khan told a news conference wherein former Chief Justice of PHC announced to join PPP-P.
The PPPP provincial chief was of the view that Central Executive Council of PPPP is meeting in London on October 3, which would take the final decision whether to quit the Assemblies or support the no confidence motion against the NWFP chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani in order to stop him of advising dissolution of NWFP Assembly.
"But one thing is very clear that PPPP has quite different stance from that of PML-Q therefore both could not go together," Rahimdad remarked. Commenting on APDM's decision of resigning on October 2, the PPPP provincial leader said that MMA which is the major component of APDM has been changing its stances with changing situation therefore PPPP could not trust the religious alliance, which also formed alliance with PML (Q) in Balochistan.
"The religious alliance has been retracted of its stances, first the MMA staged the LFO drama then retracted of its decision of resignation from the Parliament and now once again it announced to quit the parliament therefore announcement of quitting the assemblies could once again be changed," the PPPP leader respond to various questions.
Regarding Benazir statement of IAEA access to Dr Abdul Qadir, the PPPP NWFP chief said that Benazir was defending the country on international front where baseless propaganda had been launched against Pakistan.
Welcoming the former Chief Justice Ibne Ali's joining, the Pakistan Peoples' Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) chief said that popularity of PPPP among the masses could be judged from the fact that people of different walks of life were joining the party.
