Federal Minister for Railways, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed welcoming the decision of the Supreme court urged the opposition to accept the decision with open heart, showing political wisdom and sagacity. Talking to PTV, he said that the decision of the Supreme Court to allow the President to hold dual office, was a right decision.
He said that the government believed in the rule of law and justice. The decision of the Apex court was laudable and historic, he added. He urged the opposition to accept the decision of the Supreme Court. He added that the behaviour of the opposition, and a group of lawyers was condemnable. He said that if the court gives decision in their favour, then they welcome it, and when it is not given in their favour, they reject it.
Sheikh Rashid asked them not to dictate judiciary to take decision of their liking. Instead, they should accept the decision showing respect to judiciary and rule of law. He said that government welcomed the decision in the past, and would also accept the decision of the court in future also. He added that judiciary was totally free in the country, and its decisions were bindings on all people.
