The Karachi Port handled 71,609 tonnes cargo including 56,450 tonnes import, 15,159 tonnes export cargo and 2,221 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 35,109 tonnes dry cargo including 19,769 tonnes general cargo; 1,211 tonnes fertiliser; 1,921 tonnes rock phosphate; 3,510 tonnes cement; 3,502 tonnes iron scrap; 5,196 tonnes clinker and 36,500 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Five ships namely YM Fortune, OEL Spirit, Pacific Express, Al-Naseer and Pontokratis sailed out to sea during the report period.
Five vessels viz Eastmed Carrier, Sp 5-Eric G. Gibson, Aetos, Mandalay and Oriental Freesia are currently at the berths. Two ships namely Kuo Chang and Mandalay expected to sail on Saturday, while two vessels viz Oriental Freesia and OEL Trust are expected to sail on Sunday.
Two ships namely A Dragon and Liquid Success due to arrive on Saturday, while ten ships namely MT Al-Farabi, Stolt Proteetor, Lalazar, EL-Esr, Akaki, Conti Germany, Pu He, Twor Bridge, MOL Asante and Zenovia are due to arrive on Sunday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 58,323 tonnes comprising 34,914 tonnes import and 23,409 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 2,349 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 342 tonnes edible oil; 8,917 tonnes rape seeds; 4,848 tonnes chemicals; 900 tonnes iron ore; 3,383 tonnes fertiliser and 39,933 tonnes containerised cargo. Four ships namely MT Stolt Avenir, CV Al-Mariyah, MV Multan and MT Chemstar Brave sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another vessel viz CV Maersk Novazzano is expected to sail on Saturday.
A total of three ships namely MSC America, Lucky Viship and Al-Abdullah carrying containers, iron ore and cement are currently at the outer anchorage. Seven vessels viz CV Maersk Novazzano, CV Al-Mariyah, MV Violet, MV Spar Emerald, MT Stolt Avenir, MT Chemstar Brave and MV Multan are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rape seeds, edible oil, fertiliser, chemicals and iron ore respectively during last 24 hours.
Three vessels viz MSC America, Lucky Viship and MV Al-Abdullah due to take berths at QICT, IOCB and M/Wharf respectively on Saturday Four vessels viz CV Sima Pars, MT Sichem Marseille, MT Sakura Princess and MV Shadman Island due to arrive on Saturday, while another three ships namely CV Cap Arkitas, MT Chemstar King and MT Al-Khrtoubi are due to arrive on Sunday.
