KARACHI: Former President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari says he is deeply concerned about safety of Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

The PPP Co-chairman talking to ARY news said “I am worried about Bilawal’s life. I stop him from going outside due to security risk, but he would not listen to me.”

Commenting on missing persons, he said “they are trying to scare those coming towards him.”

Zardari said he used to take former army chief general (retd) Pervez Kayani and former Inter Services Intelligence chief Ahmed Shuja Pasha into confidence, while taking decisions.

Rejecting the rumours of a deal with the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the PPP leader said had he made any deal with the government he would not have spent 13 years in jail.

He also took a jibe at the prime minister for taking credit of China Pakistan Economic Corridor project and nuclear technology.

“I had signed CPEC project,” he said.

The co-chairman of PPP also spoke in favor of removing AD Khawaja as inspector general of Sindh Police. He said removing Khawaja from his post was a Sindh government’s decision. He said if he was a good officer, then were others bad cops.
