Raw sugar futures sagged from speculative pressure in early dealings Wednesday and brokers feel the market's lack of leads will likely lead to choppy business in the days ahead.
"It's looks like we'll just chop around here because there's nothing really to trade off of. We need to get below 9.75 cents and above 10.20 before we get anything going," a long-time floor dealer said, referring to the March contract.
ICE Futures electronic March fell 0.08 cent to 9.94 cents per lb at 9:17 am EDT (1317 GMT), trading from 9.93 to 10.18 cents. Outcry March lost 0.09 to 9.93 cents by 9:17 am, dealing from 9.92 to 10.04 cents.
