Youm-i-Ali observed with traditional zeal

With a persistent traditional zeal Youm-e-Shahadat-e-Hazrat Ali (R A) was observed on Thursday amid strict security arrangements to avert any untoward situation in the city. According to the organisers a Majlis, which was held at the Nishter Park at 11.30 am, was addressed by Allama Talib Jauhri.
In the noon, a procession, which was escorted by heavy contingents of personnel from the police and Pakistan Rangers, was taken out from the Nishter Park. Prolonged traffic jams were, however, witnessed on Soldier Bazaar road and other adjacent roads as the M.A Jinnah road was closed for the vehicular traffic by the City District Government Karachi for security reasons.
