Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Mohammad Afzal Sahi has said he is happy over the performance of the provincial assembly, saying a record number of legislation was made during its tenure. He said this while talking to reporters here at Punjab Assembly on Thursday.
He said he is completely satisfied with the performance of the Punjab Assembly, which is going to complete its tenure. He said he had also seen the performance of previous assemblies and the existing assembly made record legislation.
To a query regarding acceptance of opposition legislators resignations, Afzal Sahi said out of 47 MPAs who submitted their resignations, notification of 44 MPAs with regard to acceptance of their resignations have been issued while confirmation has been sought in respect of resignations received from Amir Sohatra, Khalid Kalyar and Akram Gujjar.
