A Lahore High court Bar Association (LHCBA) member has challenged the 2007 National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO), telling the court to declare it as illegal unconstitutional and promulgated without lawful authority. Petitioner Nasrullah Khan Babar argued that no body has authority to pardon to those who looted the public exchequers.
He told the court to the respondent federation to account for money spent on investigation, advertisements, fee to lawyers, salaries of the judges and other staff for proceeding references against the politicians and others.
