The local traders and transporters rejected the strike call of the APDM. All the business centers, plazas and shops in bazaars remained open and rush of consumers was witnessed more than the routine days. No untoward incident occurred anywhere in the city.
The leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Shahid Hameed Advocate, terming the presidential election unconstitutional, lodged strong protest against it while talking to party workers here.
