A National Literary Sindhi Conference will be organised at the campus of the University of Karachi on November 17th. A spokesman of the institution said that the moot would be held under the auspices of the Department of Sindhi, Karachi University.
He further said that the conference will focus on the Soomro Period. Research papers on progress made in social, cultural and literary spheres in Sindh during this era will be presented at the conference. The Pro Vice Chancellor of Karachi University, Professor Dr Akhlaq Ahmed, chaired a meeting of the organising committee in the Sindhi Department to review the arrangements for the conference. Apart from the university professors, personalities from literary and cultural circles and media attended the meeting. Akhlaq Ahmed asked the organisers to invite notable intellectuals from all over the country to the conference.
