A number of Pakistan Muslim League (PML) MNAs, led by Syed Tasneem Nawaz Gardezi, of Bahawalpur have rejected the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO), calling it a "black law" designed to give a clean chit to corrupt people. "Yes, we are against this NRO, which allows corrupt people to continue with their past practice of loot and plunder.
And in this regard, I am going to call a meeting in a couple of days to develop a future strategy to tackle this challenge," Gardezi told newsmen of Multan while talking on phone. He claimed he had the support of 10 MNAs, but identified only one, Farooq Amjad Mir.
He said they were seriously considering bringing a motion against the ordinance, but a final strategy in this regard would be devised in a meeting to be held at Parliament Lodges. "We will soon hold a meeting, however, we will chalk out our strategy after calculating the pros and cons of our move," Gardezi said.
