The phenomenally dry weather and hot is expected to prevail in the Multan, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan till Eidul Fitr due to a continued spell of North-westerly winds from Balochistan.
An official of the meteorological department told on Tuesday that the influx of the Northwesterly and North-easterly winds would further accentuate in the coming weeks that could cause further lowering of the mercury-level and humidity in the atmosphere in Sindh while southern Punjab would remain dry and hot.
Sometime back the variation between night and daytime temperature had phenomenally increased causing varying and extreme weather conditions for the Multanites. The doctors and health experts have cautioned dwellers of the city especially the minor ones to beware of the serious health risks caused due to phenomenally varying weather conditions. On Monday the minimum and maximum mercury-levels remained 20.8 degree Centigrade and 34.8 degree Celsius respectively with 18 percent humidity.
