The City District Government Rawalpindi (CDGR) has devised a comprehensive plan for providing better security and complete peace of mind to the people on Eidul Fitr.
Security personnel have been deployed in all busy markets, including Raja Bazar, Moti Bazar, Bara Bazar, China Market, Commercial Market, Sadiqabad, Saddar, Bank Road, Chohar Chowk, Tench Bhatta and Lal Kurti to avoid any untoward incident, said City Nazim Raja Javed Ikhlas here on Tuesday. He said that lady police was also deployed in markets to control incidents of pick-pocketing, purse and mobile snatching.
A traffic plan was also formulated to avoid traffic jams. The government would strictly implement the traffic plan during last days of Ramazan and Eid day, he added. Ikhlas said the sanitation staff has been directed to clean Eidgahs and mosques where Eid prayers would be offered.
