The Lahore High Court on Tuesday dismissed a petition, filed by a resident of Khushab, Muhammad Tahir Sadique, against the construction of Khushab Press Club.
While dismissing the petition the court observed that in the city's master plan the place in question was reserved for a children's park, but in connivance with the district government the respondents managed to illegally acquire the place for the press club.
Muhammad Tahir said that the action of the respondent government was against the interest of the residents and urged the court to restrain it from constructing the press club. After examining the master plan of Khushab, the court found that the place was not reserved for a park, hence dismissed the petition.
