Chief Executive Officer, Engineering Development Board (EDB), Almas Haider has said that necessary skill development training would be provided to the officers of EDB in accordance with the future challenges.
Almas Haider, former Chief Executive Officer, Technology Up-gradation and Skill Development Company (Tudec) after assuming charge as head of EDB was addressing the EDB officials here on Wednesday.
Haider drew attention of the staff towards huge potential of engineering industry in the global market and urged the EDB officials to assist the industry in getting its due share.
He hoped that Pakistan would be able to maintain between 6 to 8 percent economic growth in the next 2-3 years. Haider also called on Jahangir Khan Tareen, Minister for Industries, Production and Special Initiatives and Shahab Khawaja, Secretary, MOIP&SI.
