The Punjab government is working on sanitation projects to eliminate diseases caused by polluted and contaminated water and ensure a clean environment in the province.
Provincial Minister for Public Health Engineering Sardar Hassan Akhtar Moakil told various delegations that his government was spending Rs 3.7 billion on water projects and another Rs 2.8 billion on sanitation work. He said the projects already being in progress would cost Rs 3,643 million while new ones would cost Rs 2,857 million.
