Wapda allows closure of steel furnaces

The Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) has allowed the closure of steel furnaces from October 12-18 and December 19-25. However, this facility may be availed under the following Conditions:
(1) The last bill, due date of which has expired, stands cleared;
(2) The steel furnace is fed through an independent feeder;
(3) The connection is running on the day immediately preceding the intended date of disconnection;
(4) The consumer will provide the intended date of disconnection to the Executive Engineer (Operation) concerned.
(5) The exemption from payment of proportionate fixed charges for these days will be given in the next electricity bill.
