Provincial Minister for Labour and Industries, Adil Siddiqi has said that industrialist and business class of people serve as an economic pillar for the progress of any country which cannot be oversighted.
"The present government has laid strong foundation for economic revival and to achieve the investor's confidence and now it is the responsibility of business people and industrial community to raise such an edifice which may earn Pakistan international stability".
In a statement here on Friday, the minister said the present government is determined to solve the problems of industrialists and business community and on their part they should strengthen the hands of government for the progress of the city, province and the country.
He pointed out that for the first time Rs 4.5 billion are being spent on infrastructure development in industrial areas of Karachi. As regards traffic flow in the city, Adil Siddiqi, who also holds the portfolio of transport said that situation remained satisfactory during Ramazan due to steps taken by the government. He said city nazim and his team deserve felicitations for this.
He called upon the business community to fully concentrate on their business development for which they will have all government co-operation.
He appreciated the efforts of President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz for economic progress and said the days are not far off when Pakistan will have its improved identity in the international market.
