Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi in his message on the occasion of 'White Cane Safety Day' received here on Tuesday has emphasised upon visually impaired people to continue their struggle for acquiring adequate knowledge and training so as to be able to lead an honourable life.
He said purpose of celebrating this day was to create awareness amongst the people about the problems of blind and renew determination of sighted people for solving day to day hardships confronting the blind.
The CM said that Punjab government was doing its best to educate blind children with the provision of maximum facilitated environment and NGOs are also being encouraged to play their role efficiently for education, training and rehabilitation of blind, he added.
