The Karachi Port handled 78,466 tonnes cargo including 59,215 tonnes import, 19,251 tonnes export cargo and 2,589 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday.
The cargo comprised of 57,602 tonnes dry cargo including 29,981 tonnes general cargo; 11,041 tonnes fertiliser; 6,000 tonnes iron scrap; 3,780 tonnes rice; 6,800 tonnes cement and 20,864 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Five ships namely Augusta, China Star, Grigoroussa, Multan and Akaki sailed out to sea during the report period.
Two vessels viz Faith-1 and Stolt Endurance are currently at the berths.
Five ships namely MOL Ability, Stolt Endurance, Faith-1, Zang Za San Chong Nyon and Kapitan Byankin expected to sail on Wednesday, while three vessels viz Asian Queen, Qatari Ibn Al-Fula'A and Nan Chang Hai are expected to sail on Thursday.
Eight vessels namely Kapitan Byankin, Cap Colorado, Hyundai Future, Qatari Ibn Al-Fula'A, Harmony, Med Carrara, Alfred Oldendorf and Sea Princess due to arrive on Wednesday, while another eight ships namely TMT Pinyamas, Chemstar Brave, Lalazar, Mallau, Rising Om, PAC Antlia, Emirates Adam and Sp 5-Eric G Gibson are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 89,583 tonnes comprising 70,545 tonnes import and 19,038 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 2,077 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Wednesday.
The cargo comprised of 37,300 tonnes furnace oil; 3,074 tonnes edible oil; 3,016 tonnes chemicals; 5,769 tonnes seeds; 5,115 tonnes cement and 35,309 tonnes containerised cargo.
Four ships namely CV Nedlloyd America, CV Maersk Ohio, MT Qem Star and MT Al-Debaran sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. Two vessels viz MT Zhong Hua-7 and MV Berenice are expected to sail on Wednesday. A total of eleven ships namely MSC Socotra, Inori, Eastern Tera, Yanaseni, Westama, Al-Soor, CE Pacific, Beluga Constitution, Multan, Saranya Naree and Chem Lily carrying containers, chemicals, edible oil, diesel oil, crude oil, general cargo, rice and seeds are currently at the outer anchorage.
Eight vessels viz CV Nedlloyd America, CV Maersk Ohio, MV Skipper Ali, MV Berenice, MV Tianjin Pioneer, MT Zhong Hua-7, MT Al-Debaran and MT Qem Star are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, seeds, edible oil, furnace oil and chemicals respectively during last 24 hours.
Three vessels viz CV Inori, CV MSC Socotra and MT Al-Soor-II due to take berths at Container Terminal and FOTCO Terminal respectively on Wednesday. MT Westama due to arrive on Wednesday, while five more ships namely CV CMA CGM Elite, CV QIA Al-Fuja'A, CV MSC Qatar, MV Leondardo Lembo and MV Alfred Oldendorff are due to arrive on Thursday.
