Three unauthorised clinics closed down

The Health Regulatory Authority NWFP has closed down three unauthorised clinics with immediate effect. According to details, Dr Captain (Retd) Ahmad Ali, Director Operation, HRA and Dr Imran Nazir AD inspected the Nasir Hamid Memorial Ultrasound Clinic, situated in Rahim Medical Centre, G.T Road Peshawar.
Dua Hospital, Al-Madad Hospital in Sikundar Pura Peshawar city and found them being run without qualified staff. The ultrasound clinic was also not registered with the HRA. The HRA officials have registered case under section-27 of NWFP Medical Health Care Ordinance 2007. Penalty under the said ordinance is upto Rs 1 million or imprisonment up to seven years or both.
