The Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered the general manager flight service and manager human resources to appear before the court on November 6 to explain as to why they failed to implement the court orders. The court passed these orders during a contempt of court proceeding filed by Masood Ahmed and other PIA employees asking the court to regularise the PIA services.
The petitioner counsel, MA Ghani argued his clients had appeared before the PIA board but board members told them that they had already decided never to regularise them.
He said the petitioners were already declared permanent employees of the PIA after 183 days of their services and never needed interviews. The court then issued contempt of court notices to the respondents, telling them to appear in person on the next date of hearing.
