The death toll rose to eight in a road accident at front of Chak Jhumra railway station as six more critically injured expired in the District Headquarters Hospital, Allied Hospital and private hospital.
According to Police, three students Samiullah, Fazal Haq and Safdar died on the spot and later, a passenger Ahmed Raza succumbed to injuries in district headquarters hospital while a student Mazhar breathed his last in the Allied Hospital.
Three unidentified, one-aged 40 and two octogenarians also expired in Allied Hospital, a private hospital and their dead bodies have been shifted to the mortuary. Meanwhile, Rescue-1122 has also issued list of 20 passengers injured in bus accident near Jhurma Railway Station here on Thursday morning. The injured include Asif (35), Shehroz (12), Hashmat Ali (26), Abdus Shakoor, Shareef Muhammad, Abdul Kareem, Niaz Ali, Riaz M, Fatima Bibi, Salam Raza, Muhammad Imran (15), Rizwan (15), Zubair (16), Sohail Asghar (15), Husain (13), Abid Maseih (13), Imran Ali (25), Shahid (25), Amir Shafique (17), Mamid Raza (15) and Ali Raza (20).
