The government has transferred and posted four senior Commissioners of Income Tax (Grade 20) as Members, Income Tax Appellate Tribunals (ITATs) at Karachi and Lahore. Sources told Business Recorder on Saturday that Anis-ul-Hasan Musvi; Ashraf ud-din Bhatti; Mian Masood Ahmed and Khalid Saddiqi have been given new assignments as Members, ITATs.
These officials have been appointed for a period of three years, and would enjoy benefits of Grade 21. Sources said that the government has decided to transfer Masood Ali Jamshed, Member, Tribunal, as Director-General, Regional Tax Office (RTO), Faisalabad; Abdur Ghaffar, Member, Competition Commission of Pakistan, as Director-General.
Large Taxpayer Unit (LTU), Islamabad; Khawar Khurshid Butt, Member, Tribunal, FBR Member Facilitation and Taxpayers Education (FATE); and Mahmood Alam, a senior official of customs and excise group is likely to be appointed as Member Customs.
