Argentine Ambassador Rodolfo J. Martin Saravia has told Chairman Senate Mohammadmian Soomro that his country would set up a plant near Lahore to produce vaccine for protection against Hepatitis B and C. The plant would be ready by next February 2008.
The ambassador said this soon after meeting the Senate Chairman in the latter's office in the Parliament House here on Tuesday. The ambassador also informed the Chairman of many tiers of elections that have been held in his country, and that the Chairman of Algerian Senate had been elected governor in the same province where the first lady had been elected president.
The president-elect would take oath of office on December 10. Ambassador Saravia also invited Mohammadmian Soomro to lead a parliamentary delegation to his country. Chairman Senate thanked the ambassador and dwelt on the relations between Pakistan and his country which were based on mutual interest as well as shared values, and wished for exploring new avenues of cooperation between the two states.
