NPIW project directors, officials praised

Federal Industries Minister Jahangir Khan Tareen has commended the project directors and other officials of National Programme for Improvement of Watercourses (NPIW) for the great work they have done for timely implementation of the project.
NPIW is a real success story as more watercourses have been lined than the actual targets; he made these remarks while chairing a meeting on Wednesday to review progress of NPIW also attended by Secretary Industries Shahab Khawaja.
National Project Director in his presentation told the meeting that the target set for financial years 2004-05 to 2006-07 was to line 38,200 watercourses across the country but the NPIW has been able to line more watercourses than the actual targets.
