Pakistan is participating at the International Leisure Exposition-2007 being held in Hang Zhou. The Consulate General of Pakistan in Shanghai has established a stall at the exposition in which broachers on tourism, culture and history were distributed among the visitors.
While photographs of various civilisations, famous tourists' destinations and handicrafts of different areas were also put on display. On the occasion through video films culture, popular tourist spots and Pakistan's soft image were shown which was highly appreciated by the visitors.
An official of Pakistan Consulate General told newsmen that there were as many as 15 Consulate Generals of different countries who were participating in the exhibition.
He said that on the occasion posters in Chinese language depicting our history, tourism and culture were also put on display and pamphlets distributed. The exposition started on November 2 would continue upto November 5, he said. He pointed out that a large number of people visited Pakistani stall and showed keen interest in items put on display and also sought details about history, culture and tourist spots in Pakistan.
